A little bit about us….
Mallory Hurley
I am a Catholic artist working and living in the
City of Pittsburgh. I am the wife of a Pittsburgh Firefighter and the mother of four silly little children and one on the way! I enjoy exploring my faith through making, and find that co-creating with God allows me to slow down and contemplate the vastness of our own creator.
Sacred Art has always played a role in my life ever since I was a child. From my mother’s hand painted traditional Byzantine icons, to a pilgrimage made to the beautiful Cologne Cathedral in Germany, for the 2005 World Youth Day. I have found that when words fail me, art has helped me understand my faith. Imagery of the Catholic faith has the ability to move people. My favorite aspect of creating, is that there is freedom in letting go, realizing that I don’t have all the answers. Paintings work out themselves when falling into trust. +

Hi, I’m Kris, Mallory’s mom, I am a cradle Catholic who loves my faith and Catholic art and artifacts. I love the connection to faith that religious art brings out when I encounter it. When I am at church or walk into a Catholic bookstore,
I feel like I’m experiencing a little piece of heaven! I want to bring that into every ones homes, by restoring and creating pieces you’ll love and want to put into your own home.
Did I mention, I love Catholic art!
